My Spooky Fun Halloween workshops were a blast!  I even had a request to create Cricut layout kits for every holiday going forward because they're so fun and easy to out together.  Sounds good to me!

As you can imagine, many of the Cricut cuts yielded leftover scraps that I just couldn't throw away.  So I didn't!  I made cards instead.  Aren't they cute?

I must admit, I was bummed when I opened the Autumn/Winter Idea Book at Convention and didn't see a Halloween-themed WOTG.  But alas, I should have known that CTMH would never leave us hanging.  As it turns out, the Artbooking Cricut Cartridge is chock-full of pre-designed layouts--including two for Halloween!  So, voila.  Halloween playshop done. 

The best part:  I've done all of the cutting for you.  For reals.  All you have to do is stick it down (with your own adhesive, of course).  I'm offering both layouts in one kit for $30, or choose your favorite layout for just $20.   I'll be teaching the class twice, once during the day and once in the evening.  As always, if these dates and times don't work for you, just get a group of 2 or more together and I'll come to you when it's convenient!  Mail-away kits are also available (just add $6.95 for shipping and handling when you RSVP and pay).

Another Successful Open House (If I Do Say So Myself)

I mailed paper invitations.  I created 37 identical cards for the Autumn-Winter 2013 Idea Book Swap so that I could gather 36 other samples in return.  I Facebooked.  I texted.  And what did I end up with?  A fabulous party! 

We talked, ate, laughed, shopped, and of course, created!  I've posted a few of the photos below.  Thanks to all of the ladies who came, and a special shout out to my prize winners:  Brianne Asar, Sara Lazar, Raquel Panos, Anita Velasco, and GRAND PRIZE winner, Tara Ramsey!

For a scrapbooking, card-making fiend like me, attending Close To My Heart's annual Convention is like, the best thing ever.  Straight up.  And the most exciting part about attending Convention is getting exclusive access to "The Bundles."  We buzz about The Bundles more than anything else in the weeks leading up to the big event.

And this isn't even everything!  One of my Bundles is on backorder.  Just wait until you see what's in that one.  When these arrived yesterday, I wanted to spread everything out on the floor of my mecca of a craft room and just snuggle with it all.  I settled instead for taking a gazillion pictures of them.  And trust me, these photos don't do The Bundles justice.   But of course, I will have everything on display for you to touch and ogle at my next Open House, which takes place on August 28th.  More on that soon . . .

I hadn't realized how much I missed attending Convention last year until I stepped into the Coronado Springs Resort in Orlando this year and couldn't stop smiling.  I LOVE CTMH CONVENTION!  It's not just the revelation of the new Idea Book (goosebumps!) or the tons of free product, or the cherished creative time, or even the brand new Cricut cartridge (I know)--although none of that is anything to sneeze at.  For me, it's that feeling of belonging, of being a nerd proudly among other nerds, of being in a place where crafting is home.  It's an electrifying atmosphere. 

Team Scrapalicious had an amazing time together!  We are all so pumped up about growing our team and our businesses.  Look out!  We're on a roll.

Team Scrapalicious Is Bigger Than Ever!

Breaking news!  My CTMH team doubled in size last month!   Oh, and allow me to back up for an update:  Jen joined my team in August of last year--as if you didn't see that coming from a mile away.  She's such a passionate crafter!  

Anyhoo, for a little while there Jen and I were a cozy unit of two, and then last month my friend and fellow scrapbooking-retreat-goer, Kristyn, joined Team Scrapalicious as well!  She is on absolute fire with her business.  Before long, she recruited Randi and was promoted to Supervisor.   Randi will be starting her CTMH business in Guam.  Not only has Team Scrapalicious officially doubled in size, but we've expanded from the continental U.S.!  

I am so excited to be leading this amazing group of women who love to craft as much as I do.  Now we're counting down to Convention.  Only 6 days and 16 hours to go . . .
